Recipe Review-Mellie’s Mexican Chili

Posted by pamspantry on February 2, 2010

Are the cold days of winter dragging you down. Having trouble coming up with new twists on old favorites? Pam’s Pantry to the rescue! Here is a unique twist using one of our many dip mixes that can be made in a matter of minutes. Great warmer upper on these cold February nights!

1-1/2 lbs. Hamburger
2 cans Tomato Soup (regular size Campbells)
2 cans water (use soup can)
1 can Kidney Beans* (or refried beans)
2 packs Mellie’s Mexi Mix

Brown hamburger in a large pan or dutch oven and drain grease. Return meat to pan and add in tomato soup, water, beans and Mellie’s Mexi Mix packets. Stir and heat to desired temperature. Serve.

*NOTE: We love using the Refried Beans in place of Kidney Beans!

Hope you try this wonderful recipe. It can also be found on our website under the recipes tab. Be sure to write back and leave us your comments to let us know what you thought of the recipe.
